The Maltina Teacher of the Year is an initiative of the Nigerian Breweries Plc. - Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund. It was conceived in 2015 to identify, Showcase and reward outstanding teachers in Nigeria.
So far we have four overall winners and more than Ninety Five State Champions
The Brief:
The brief was to use PR to amplify the event and ensure there is massive participation annually.
Agency Task:
Our major task was to engage relevant stakeholders through ‘trado-digital’ means to deepen the conversation already generated.
Agency engaged a popular comedian to produce a video skit. The skit made a lot of impact as it went viral immediately with multiple views and shares. We also had entries from the 36 States of the federation and the FCT.
One of our strategies was to sustain a robust conversation by bringing an intellectual perspective to the initiative. We brought stakeholders from various education sectors annually to look at the problems facing Teachers in the country.
Outcome
There was massive participation from all over the country
